Description
  • CGF (Computer Generated Forces) are part of many of simulation systems for many years. Their capabilities to penetrate into the constructive simulations where they are used to provide greater reality of simulated events. This technology is widely used in military simulation systems with a low level of aggregation. During the last decade, specific requirements for non-military group training arise as the need to prevent, avert or cope with new civilization issues such as growing threats of terrorist attack or increasing probability of environmental, industrial or infrastructural disasters. The OTB system (OneSAF Testbed Baseline) is used for training military staffs in the Czech Republic. In addition to the military staff training, this system has been also used for training in crisis management since 2005. Training of soldiers remains a priority, even though it is possible to make modifications of this system. Predetermination of the system and the capacity of the Centre of Simulation and Training Technologies are the main limiting factors that do not enable greater use to rescue services. The experience gained from these exercises were transferred into the design of a new environment of constructive simulation with elements of CGF designated priority for rescue forces.
