Description
  • In the time of unconventional warfare, force protection should be one of the highest priorities of every army. Abroad missions serving soldiers faces daily to the danger of death in the battlefields, but they are also threatened by the attacks at the bases. The military base ensures soldiers feeling of security and confidence, the attacks led by VBIED (Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Device) have the task of decay the morality, chaos and the loss of human lives and equipment. The construction and protection of military bases is mainly based on practical experience from previous attacks, unfortunately these measures are not sufficient in each case. The article deals with the use of ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS AUTODYN software and its utilization for modeling the effects of explosions to the important parts of military base. This solution as a preventive measure can be effectively used in the designing the most important parts of military bases.
