Description	The paper deals with problems which the modernization of communication infrastructure of the Czech Army brings. The aim of the work is to contribute to the optimal solution of them by creating a powerful tool for network behavior analysis. Selected methods of data mining are gradually used for creating models which the network behavior under different conditions is analyzed with. We focus on analyzing the behavior of selected network changes as a consequence of topological changes and due to the deployment of new technologies. As main parameters for analysis the intensity of the carried traffic load (CTL) and the Peak Busy Hour (PBH) are selected. The results obtained are used to verify the reliability and optimal sizing of the existing analyzed network and as a basis for designing new networks.
