Description	One of the projects currently solved in the Czech Armed Forces is monitoring of people and vehicles inside and in close perimeter to the military bases. The focus is mainly put on the deployed forces out of the Czech border. This project is based on idea of precision ultra-wideband (UWB) measurement devices. Each soldier and each vehicle on duty has its own tag that is closely fastened to a soldier helmet or a vehicle surface. Every tag has a panic button. If the guard presses this button an alarm is triggered and the position of this tag is enlarged. This can be used as an emergency signal. The upper software layer of location system can visualize the situation in the protected perimeter in the real time in two and three dimensions based on UBISENSE 7000 sensors series. The article deals with the architecture, design and implementation phases of this project.
