Description
| - The case study presents the possible procedure of semi-quantitative risk assessment of particular water source selected for the emergency supply of population with drinking water. The risk analysis is based mainly on the elaborated register of hazards, the semi-quantitative assessment of hazard sources activation frequency and their impacts on hydrogeological structure and technological equipment of ground water source. The following potential hazard sources have been considered: natural disasters caused by atmospheric and geological changes, increased radioactive background, accidents, industrial and agricultural production, mining and processing of raw materials, construction and earthworks, transport, waste management and environmental burdens. The hydrogeological conditions, hydrological regime, ground water quality, water intake structures and water treatment plant of selected ground water source have been evaluated in the area of vulnerability and criticality.
