Description	The paper deals with possibilities of using the fuel additive and produced emissions of military vehicles. Characteristics of diesel fuel with Envirox additive provide sufficient number of reasons for their verification in laboratory and real practice before the final decision on the implementation into the duty in the Army. Currently, the possibility of substantial reduction in fuel consumption for vehicles operated in the Army of the Czech Republic with saving measures is already exhausted. Any effort to examine the possibilities of reducing fuel consumption by adding additives and to follow current environmental safety is still missing. The fuel provision requirement, especially diesel fuel, requires a significant allocation of funds from the departmental budget.
