Description	Transgenní kukuřice kultivaru MON810 (Monsanto, USA), nesoucí gen pro toxin Cry1Ab se pěstovala na pěti 0,5 ha parcelkách, které sa střídaly s pěti stejně velkými parcelkami s Non Bt, t. j. rodičovským kultivarem. Na sběr epigeického hmyzu se použili půdní pasti, na každou parcelku pět kusů. Pasti byly rozmístěné jedenkrát před, čtyřikrát v průběhu sezóny a jedenkrát po sběru kukuřice. Brouci z čeledi (Coleoptera, Carabidae) reprezentované 40 druhy a pavouci (Araneae), kteří byli reprezentováni 46 druhy, byli ve velké míře zastoupeni na všech pokusných plochách. Nepotvrdil sa žádný průkazný rozdíl v druhové skladbě ani v počte jedinců brouků a pavouků chytaných na Bt a Non Bt plochách. Několik druhů převládalo ve všech případech. Téměř jedna třetina brouků patřila do druhu Pterostichus melanarius a další tři druhy představovaly každý okolo 15%.
