  • Dlouhodobé trendy koncentrací křemíku (Si) v pěti šumavských ledovcových jezerech vykazují nárůst koncentrací Si díky jeho vyššímu exportu z půd i přes pokles kyselé depozice. Koncentrace Si vzrostly o 0.95 to 1.95 umol/rok (o 36 až 51 %) během období od roku 1986 do 2004 za současného vzrůstu pH jezerní vody. Změna půdních roztoků díky poklesu kyselé depozice způsobila pokles mobility hliníku. Vzrůst koncentrací Si může souviset (1) se snížením hliníkové inhibice zvětrávání hlinitokřemičitanů, (2) s rychlejším rozpouštěním biogenního opálu a (3) s nižším srážením sekundárních minerálů (hlinitokřemičitanů) v půdách. Efekt dlouhodobě rostoucí teploty vzduchu byl pravděpodobně nízký. (cs)

The increase in Si concentrations may be related to: (1) unblocking of the inhibitory effect of dissolved Al on weathering of aluminosilicates, (2) faster dissolving of biogenic opal, and (3) lower Si precipitation as secondary aluminosilicates in soil. The effect of long-term increase in air temperature was probably minor.
