Description	Vliv ekotonu pole - les na společenstva žížal byl sledován na pěti plochách (blocích) lišících se osevním postupem na poli. V každém bloku bylo vytyčeno sedm linií kolmých k transektu z lesa do centra pole a v každé na jaře 2001 odebráno 6 půdních vzorků. K získání žížal byla použita kombinovaná metoda ručního rozboru půdních vzorků a formalínové extrakce. Celkem bylo nalezeno 9 druhů žížal (5-7 na jednotlivých lokalitách), mezi nimiž dominovala Aporrectodea caliginosa. Pozice v transektu ovlivnila abundanci i biomasu žížal. Oba parametry byly nejnižší v lese, vzrostly na rozhraní pole - les, opět poklesly ve vzdálenosti 5 - 10 metrů od okraje lesa a pak kontinuálně rostly směrem k centru pole. Five sites (blocks) differing in type of crop rotation used in the field were studied near Kostelec nad Černými Lesy, Czech Republic. At each block, soil samples were taken in seven parallel rows perpendicular to a transect from the oak forest to the centre of the field. Individual rows were located: in the forest (5 m from the edge), on the foresf edge, and in the field in distances of 5,10, 25, 50, 100 m from the edge of the forest. Six samples were taken in each row in spring 2001. Digging and hand sorting of soil samples, followed by formalin application was used to extract earthworms. Nine species and subspecies of earthworms were identified, among which Aporrectodea caliginosa predominated. Per block, the species number varied from 5 to 7.
