  • U 61 planktonních populací rodu Anabaena se spirálními vlákny byla studována jejich morfologie v přírodních podmínkách. Vzorky pocházely ze stojatých vod z České republiky a byly v nich zatoupeny všechny spirální morfotypy r. Anabaena, které jsou z ČR udávány. Pomocí analýzy hlavních component (PCA) a párových t-testů byla testována existence jasných morfologických hranic mezi těmito morfotypy. Jako jediný jasně vymezený morfotyp se jeví A. compacta, ostatní morfotypy tvořily morfologické kontinuum bez jasného vymezení. Pro praktické užití byly proto navrženy definované větší skupiny podobných morfotypů, včetně vymezujících morfologických kritérií (A. mendotae & A. sigmoidea, A. flos-aquae & A. spiroides, a A. circinalis & A. crassa). Identifikace studovaných morfotypů r. Anabaena pouze na základě morfologických znaků není na nižší taxonomické úrovni možná. Taxon A. lemmermannii se navíc jeví jako morfologicky velice heterogenní a pravděpodobně bude nezbytná jeho taxonomická revize. (cs)
  • Morphology of 61 planktonic populations of the genus Anabaena with coiled trichomes was studied under natural conditions. The samples were collected from Czech water bodies, representing all morphospecies that have previously been reported from the Czech Republic. Using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and paired t-tests, the existence of clear morphological boundaries of these morphospecies was tested. The only clearly delimited morphospecies was A. compacta, the other morphospecies formed a morphological continuum and no clear-cut boundaries could be observed. Defined groups of morphotypes were thus proposed for practical usage, specifying also the morphological criteria (A. mendotae & A. sigmoidea, A. flos-aquae & A. spiroides, and A. circinalis & A. crassa). Identification at lower taxonomic level is not feasible based only on morphology. Moreover, A. lemmermannii taxon appears to be morphologically heterogeneous and probably needs a taxonomic revision.
