  • In this paper the electrical charging of micron-sized dust particles in low temperature electropositive plasma sheath is studied by the methods of computer simulation. In the presented computer model plasma is considered to be a fluid of electrons, positively charged ions and neutral particles. Plasma is described by continuity equations for charged particles and the Poisson?s equation in axial symmetry. The particle flux is expressed by the drift-diffusion approximation. The surface charge is determined by the integration over the given boundary. The results of performed calculations show the dependence of the electric charge on the surface of the particle on the placement of the dust particulate in the sheath.
