  • Koncept účinnosti krajiny byl testován jako metoda hodnocení odnosu látek a teplotní distribuce a její platnost ověřována na relativně malých povodích (cca 200 ha) s různým způsobem hospodaření. Od roku 1996 jsou na sledovaných povodích systematicky monitorovány srážky, odnosy látek, distribuce sluneční energie a produkce biomasy. Povodí Mlýnského potoka bylo systematicky odvodněno a je zemědělsky využíváno (pastviny). Povodí Bukového potoka je téměr zcela zalesněno, větší část povodí Horského potoka je ponechána sukcesi, převážně jako mokřady. Povodí lze chrakterizovat: Mlýnský jako odvodněné, Horský jako lado (neobhospodařované) a Bukový jako lesnaté. Pro výpočet roční bilance kationtů pro jednotlivá povodí jsme použili data z hydrologického roku 2000 (srážky, průměrné průtoky, koncetrace látek v odtékající vodě, produkce nadzemní biomasy a obsah kationtů (Ca, Mg, Na, K) v biomase). Odvodněné povodí Mlýnského potoka ztrácí kationty (vyšší odnos, než vstupy), neobhospodařované povodí Horského potok (cs)
