Description	En el siglo XVI y XVII el soldado fanfarrón recibe la identidad espa?ola de teatro espa?ol e italiano. Sorprendentemente teatro francés asume esta tendencia sólo parcialmente. Generalmente sus soldados fanfarrones aparecen sin ningún origen geográfico. Es sólo en el siglo XVII cuando fanfarrón comienza a ser representado allí como Gascón. Este artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre este fenómeno en comparación con el aspecto mencionado del fanfarrón espa?ola en Italia. Por un lado, la vida literaria de soldado espa?ol se asocia con los militares espa?oles y prestigio cortés en Europa en el siglo XVI y el personaje desvanece poco a poco con la desaparición de este último. El fanfarrón Gascón, por otro lado, está experimentando el mayor repunte después de que el período más agudo de prestigio social y militar de los Gascones en Francia. Es evidente que los fanfarrones espa?oles y gascones en el escenario se ven afectados por las dinámicas literarias irregulares. In the 16th and 17th century the braggart soldier receives in the Spanish and Italian theatre Spaniard identity. Surprisingly French theatre assumes this tendency only partially. Generally its braggart soldiers appear without any geographical origin. It is only in the early 17th century when braggart begins to be depicted there as Gascon. This article aims to reflect on this phenomenon in comparison with the mentioned appearance of the Spanish braggart in Italy. On one hand, the literary life of Spanish soldier is associated with the Spanish military and courteous prestige in Europe in the 16th century and the character dies off gradually with the vanishing of the latter. The Gascon braggart on the other hand, is experiencing the biggest upswing after the peak period of Gascon military and social prestige in France. It is apparent that Spanish and Gascon braggarts on the stage are affected with uneven literary dynamics. (en)
