Description	Le connecteur MAIS est souvent considéré comme représentant central ou prototypique de la catégorie à laquelle il appartient. Le but de l´article est de repenser ces affirmations dans le cadre de la théorie pragoise de centre et de la périphérie. En appliquant la méthode structuraliste, nous analysons le sens des connecteurs de la catégorie de MAIS sous forme de traits distinctifs, qui peuvent être modélisés sous forme d´instructions interprétatives qui indiquent au récepteur du texte la manière dont il doit traiter et interpréter la relation entre les constituants connectés. La configuration de ces traits détermine la place de l´unité au sein de la catégorie. Grâce à notre méthode, nous pouvons justifier le statut central de MAIS par rapport aux autres connecteurs de la catégorie (NÉANMOINS, POURTANT, CEPENDANT, TOUTEFOIS). The connective MAIS is often qualified as a central or prototypical unit of the category which it belongs to. The aim of this paper is to reason these affirmations in the framework of the Prague theory of centre and periphery. Applying a structural-semantic method, we analyze the meaning of the connectives of the category of MAIS as a matrix of distinctive features. These features are formulated as interpretative instructions that %22tell%22 to the recipient of the message how to treat the connected constituents. The configuration of these features determines the place of each unit within the category. Thanks to the structural method, the central place of MAIS vis-à-vis the other connectives of the category (NÉANMOINS, POURTANT, CEPENDANT, TOUTEFOIS) can be argued. (en)
