Description	In our practice, we meet situations, where the pregnancy and delivery are not invited and the child is undesirable. A method of solving this condition is searched for and mothers of these children are offered with a possibility of a secret delivery as a legal way how to solve the unplanned pregnancy and problems with undesirable children. The contribution presented here acquaints the reader with methods of solving the undesirable pregnancy and with the approach to this serious life situation, with a special regard to the secret delivery. We employed the document contents analysis method, the information source being the documentation of welfare officers, legislative documents and statistical sources. In our contribution, we describe methods of solving undesirable pregnancy as allowed by the Slovak legislative system. The attention is particularly paid to the secret delivery, which belongs to more frequent methods of solving unplanned and undesirable pregnancy, and is legal and implemented in a medical institution, under surveillance by professional personnel. The woman being in a severe situation of her life is offered with a possibility to accept a positive choice - to give life to the child, protect his/her life and give him/her chance to live in a family of adoptive parents. (en) V našej praxi sa stretávame so situáciami, keď tehotenstvo a pôrod nie sú vítané a dieťa je nechcené. Hľadá sa spôsob, ako tento stav riešiť, a pre matku dieťaťa sa ponúka možnosť utajeného pôrodu ako legálny spôsob riešenia neplánovaného tehotenstva a nechceného dieťaťa. Príspevok zoznamuje čitateľov so spôsobmi riešenia nežiaduceho tehotenstva a spôsobmi riešenia tejto vážnej životnej situácie a najmä so zameraním na utajený pôrod. Použili sme metódu obsahovej analýzy dokumentov a zdrojom informácii bola dokumentácia sociálneho pracovníka, legislatívne dokumenty a štatistické zdroje. V príspevku opisujeme spôsoby riešenia nechceného tehotenstva, ktoré umožňuje slovenský právny systém. Ústrednú pozornosť venujeme utajenému pôrodu, ktorý patrí k najčastejším spôsobom riešenia neplánovaného a nechceného tehotenstva, je legálny a realizuje sa v zdravotníckom zariadení pod dohľadom odborného personálu. Ponúka možnosť žene v ťažkej životnej situácii rozhodnúť sa pre kladnú voľbu - darovať a zachrániť život dieťaťa, dať mu šancu na život v rodine adoptívnych rodičov.
