Description	The report describes some of the results of GM flax performace in field experiments run in the Czech Republic already for eight years. Lines derived from insertional mutagenesis and transgenesis (both model and target genes were used) gave rise to some new forms of plant breeders interest (shift of flowering period, short/longer growth period, higher stem fiber content, etc.). The genetic modification tested so far has not suggested any safety concerns.
