Description
| - This chapter is focused on implementation stage of the Distributed Generation (DG) system in some countries: two from the European Union (EU), one candidate to EU and one from outside of EU. If last section of first chapter (named %22Stage of Integrating Renewable Sources into DG Systems of the European Union%22) shows some approach for accessing the available renewable energy of each EU state (that put in evidence the diversity of energy efficiency measures and implementation of renewable energy strategies), then these aspects will be detailed by case studies in this chapter. First of all, the energy resources of each state (that is subject of a case study) are shown as level of non-renewable energy resources and renewable resources. Then the electricity generation, transportation and distribution is discussed in perspective of integration of the available renewable energy sources. So, proposed objectives for the DG system, the rehabilitation measures and levels achieved for the implementation stages are presented. In this frame, the energy policy of the each state is discussed, showing the priorities of this energy policy and future energy policy measures. These strategies are based on new technologies and equipments that are applied using new infrastructure (as is the smart grid, for example). Some case studies are sustained by simulation models. Finally, some conclusions are given.
