Description
  • The software, which was developed under the project VPHOP (FP7-ICT-223865), visualizes a realistic model of human lower limbs where a muscle is represented by a chaff of fibres generated automatically in its volume defined by the surface mesh of the muscle that automatically wraps around bones as they move during a user specified simulation. We note that knowledge of muscle fibres is essential especially for effective rehabilitation programs that aim at improving the quality of life of patients suffering from neuromuscular disorders (more than 0.1% of general population in UK), for planning optimal muscle surgery, and prediction of forces having impact on joints.
