  • All types of dynamic traffic control strategies need information concerning the current traffic situation, i.e. the actual traffic flow. As suitable information it seems to be knowledge of queue lengths in all particular lanes. However, the queue lengths are hardly measurable and they have to be estimated on the basis of measurable traffic data (such as occupancy, intensity) and of suitable traffic model. The main aim of the chapter is to design the traffic system modelling technique. The technique is based on the traffic flow conservation principle. The subsequent aim is to utilise a designed traffic model for estimation of immeasurable or unknown quantities (i.e. the queue lengths and unknown parameters). The estimation is based on the nonlinear state estimation techniques. The techniques are also used to validation of the traffic models by means of real data.

  • Všechny typy dynamických dopravních řídících strategií potřebují informace o aktuální dopravní situaci, tzn. o aktuálním dopravním proudu. Jako vhodná informace se jeví znalost délek kolon na jednotlivých ramenech křižovatky. Délky kolon jsou však těžko měřitelné veličiny a proto musí být odhadnuty z měřitelných aktuálních dopravních dat (např. z obsazenosti nebo intenzity) vhodnou estimační metodou na základě dopravního modelu. Hlavním cílem této kapitoly je tak navrhnout techniku pro modelování dopravního systému. Technika je založena na chování dopravního proudu v mikroregionu. Druhým cílem je pak využít navržený model pro odhad neměřitelných či neznámých veličin (tj. délek kolon a neznámých parametrů). Pro odhad jsou využity techniky známé z oblasti odhadu stavu. Tyto techniky jsou také využity k validaci navržených dopravních modelů na základě reálných dat. (cs)
