| - The book deals with relatively new Sufi tariqa or order, Naqshbandiyya Haqqaniyya. From early seventies the order achieved considerable success, activities and charisma of shaykh Nazim attracted till now thousands of sympathizers and members especially in Europe and United States. The basic aim of dissertation which consists of three main parts, is to analyze spiritual methodology of the order, its theoretical foundations, goals and used methods. In first theoretical part I present briefly existing scholarly results referring to important aspects of my topic. Then I offer reflection on state of the field of anthropology of Islam and an outline of desirable general methodological rules for fieldwork in Islamic milieus, based partly on my own fieldwork experiences. Then I present methods used in my own research, fieldwork and in compilation of the whole text. Finally I analyze certain aspects related to the existence of the order in the West, namely transnationalism and specific features corresponding to the concept of new religious movements. The second, ethnographic part depicts living of the members of the order in chosen communities or localities in Spain and in Cypriot Lefke. Here I primarily analyze religious practice. Two presented basic typologies here have their origin also in my fieldwork. Information gain through fieldwork also constitutes important feature of the third main part of the work. In the third part the very methodology of mystical journey of Haqqaniyya is analyzed. Every single element of this methodology, theoretical and practical, is firstly presented in broader context of Islamic mysticism or sufism. Then I analyze its specific position and meaning in teachings of Haqqaniyya as formulated by authorities of the tariqa or order. Consequently I examine how are these elements practiced or used and what meaning and importance is attributed to them by members of the order, how they understand them. (en)
- Kniha se zabývá analýzou mystické duchovní nauky současného islámského řádu naqšbandíja haqqáníja. Po metodologickém úvodu a stručnějším výkladu k islámu v západních prostředích následuje nejprve představení reálií souvisejících s existencí řádu (zejména ve Španělsku a v severokyperském Lefke) a následně hluboká analýza stěžejních prvků učení této taríqy. A to jak v teoretické, tak v praktické rovině. Obě tyto části významně odrážejí autorův terénní výzkum ve vybraných komunitách řádu. Kniha je antropologickým příspěvkem ke zkoumání islámu na Západě.
