  • V současnosti je mnoho možností pro počítačové modelování v elektroenergetice. Požadavky jsou v tomto oboru velice specifické, protože je v mnoha případech nutné simulovat problémy přesahující osamocenou technickou disciplínu. Je tedy nutné nejen řešit elektrickou síť, ale i propojení a se strojními a dalšími zařízeními energetiky. Existují jak softwareové nástroje schopné simulovat jednoduché problémy, tak velmi složité aplikace pro řešení diferenciálních problémů. Jedním z nejsilnějších nástrojů, který splňuje veškeré potřebné požadavky je Dynast. V současné době byly jeho již tak velice bohaté schopnosti rozšířeny vyvinutím knihovny elektrických komponent běžných v energetice pro snadnější, rychlejší a spolehlivější vytváření nových modelů.
