| - %22The occurrence of MRSA (methicilin resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and MR-CNS (methicilin resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci) has been observed in cows milk samples (bulk milk n= 703; individual samples n=724), goats milk (individual samples n=75), sheep milk (bulk milk n=39; individual samples n=89). Human swabs were taken from the throat and from the nose of the dairy industry staff (n=18) and from the students of the Veterinary and pharmaceutical university (n=107). Swabs from the nose of animals (n=81) were taken as well. All S. aureus and CNS isolates were checked by the PCR method for the presence of mecA gene.From our results it is evident that the multiresistant strains were found mainly in cows milk (23 MRSA - 45.1% ; 6 S. chromogenes - 11.76% ; one S. haemolyticus and one S. hyicus - 1.96% ), then in swabs of animals (6 S. epidermidis - 11.76% ), in goats milk (one MRSA - 1.96% ; 3 S. epidermidis - 5.88% ), at the students (one S. epidermidis - 1.96% ) and at the staff (one MRSA - 1.96% ).%22
