  • Zearalenone is an estrogenic mycotoxin, which is known for its estrogenic activities and ability to impair reproductive performance. However, much less is known about potential influence of zearalenone on rumen protozoa. In this study we employed dynamic image analysis for monitoring of individual and total motility speed as indicator of protozoal viability and total quantity measurement in vitro, in ruminal fluid after zearalenone addition.

  • Zearalenon je produkován plísní Fusarium, která se vyskytuje zejména na kukuřici a pšenici. Má účinky steroidních hormonů a může způsobovat výrazné poruchy říje, při graviditě až zmetání plodu. Jeho vliv na mikroflóru není doposud uspokojivě zdokumentován. V této studii byla použita dynamická analýza obrazu pro stanovení individuální a celkové motility protozoí jako ukazatele viability v bachorové tekutině po přidání zearalenonu. (cs)
