Description	Úvodem autor podává krátký přehled historie transformačních metod u luskovin a obecné problémy transformačních postupů. Dále jsou zvažovány výhody a nevýhody genetických transformací a srovnání s klasickými šlechtitelskými postupy. Jsou uvedeny nové směry ve využívání ?užitných? genů a dosavadní výsledky v genetických modifikacích u hrachu. Autor dále zvažuje ekologická rizika spojená s pěstováním transgenních plodin a výsledky dosažené na pracovišti Agritec. Introductory the author briefly describes the history of transformation methods in grain legumes and general problems of transformation techniques. Advantages and disadvantages of genetic transformations are compared to classical breeding procedures. New trends in utilising of ?useful? genes and recent results in genetic modifications of pea are summarised. The ecological risks associated with growing GMO crops are considered and the results achieved in Agritec, Ltd are described. (en)
