Description
  • The aim of the paper is to present the advantages of using Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation for modeling and planning business activities. Firstly, the reason to choose such a topic is explained in the paper. Then, some important definitions and literature review is described capturing the problematic of business process modeling. Secondly, an academic management concept named %22transformation places%22 is used. Also, a detailed description of UML language from the view of the whole package of diagrams, their meaning and syntaxes is further introduced. Thirdly, we will apply the concepts for process modeling on the example on standardized trade-company with the exploitation of several UML diagrams. Each of the diagrams is introduced with the explanation of meaning and some advices for improvement. Finally, summarized results in the form of case study are discussed with classical UML modelling approaches. The last two practical sections of the paper will be concluded with a detaile d summarization of the particular research. To conclude the presented paper shows abstract perspective to use the UML in the business and process planning/implementation and at the same time describes possibilities opened by using authors' innovative modification - time-technology-value modelling in the form of %22transformation places%22. This could bring some significant benefits to improve the competitiveness of the trade-company.
