Description	The presented work deals with the various problems associated with accession into the Eurozone or the European Monetary Union (EMU). The first part (methodological) deals with, in general way, influence of an integration process on the institutional framework of the labour market and it also examines the influence of the monetary union on the institutional framework of the labour market. Theory of labour economics has created a set of institutional aspects such as employment protection legislation, structure of wage bargaining, taxation of labour, active labour market policy and the system of unemployment and social benefits. All these aspects determine the institutional framework of the labour market. In the paper, main theoretical approaches are analysed. With entry into the Euro area EU Member States is losing one of the effective measures for dealing with the effects of asymmetric shocks - an autonomous monetary policy.
