  • Education and training of nursing faculty supervised by an overseas expert is one of the key activities integrated into the three-year project Innovation of the Nursing Study Programme at the Silesian University in Opava, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/15.0178, in the Education for Competitiveness Operational Programme. Acquisition of new knowledge and skills appears to be a creative process embodied in module design, learning outcome description and constructive alignment of learning outcomes with teaching, learning and assessment in particular modules. The knowledge acquired involves a wide range of issues related to the implementation of the National Qualification Framework for Tertiary Education in the Czech Republic (Q-RAM), connected to Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA). The latter knowledge facilitates comprehension of current terminology, implementation of ECTS, estimation skills for student workload, etc. The objective of faculty education and training is to prepare the faculty for quality assurance processes in the implementation of the nursing study programme at Silesian University in Opava
