Description
  • Efficient and inexpensive energy storage systems undoubtedly play a significant role in the modern western-based sustainable energy strategy. The use of energy storage to rock requires detailed understanding of water flow effect to heat transport. For the laboratory experiment a granite block 800 x 600 x 300 mm was prepared with comb-like artificial fissure. Hot water was injected by small borehole and both water and rock temperatures measured in several points in other boreholes.
