Description
| - The paper introduces a novel method to diagnose electrospinning process. The CoroCAM I is used for recording electrospinning process. The CoroCAM I has silica glass objective and filter for recording in UV and visible area of electromagnetic radiation. The method is non-invasive because of minimal focusing distance of CoroCAM I is 0.5 m. DC electrospinning and AC electrospinning are high voltage technologies for production of nanofibers. DC electrospinning was realised with plate collector. The high voltage technologies are accompanied with discharges such as corona or spark discharges. The corona discharges are observed always near Taylor’s cone [1]. The spark discharges are usually generated near charged electrode by excessively high voltage. AC and DC high voltage supply ensures different mechanism of electrospinning process similar to different mechanism of corona discharges. These experiments were carrying out with four different spinnerets with certain diameters. The used spinnerets were needle, rod, multiple rod and circular spinneret. Polyvinyl butyral 10wt% in ethanol was used in this experiment. The nanofibrous materials were analysed by scanning electron microscopy.
