Description
| - Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a unique material due to its hydrophobic properties. It is as well chemically resistant, inert polymer with unique ferroelectric properties and low cost. This article aims with the production of PVDF nanofibrous layers and incorporation of active carbon particles in the fibrous structure. Nanofibers are produced by needleless electrostatic spinning and particles are incorporated during the process in-between fibers by ultrasound sputtering. The main advantage of this process is high amount of particles which can be incorporated and its sorbent activity. Particles are simply trapped in inter fibrous space. Connection of PVDF and particles made of selected materials can create unique sorbent material. These materials can be used as filters against chemical or biological agents or in medicine for wound covering.
