| - This paper deals with a procedure that recognizes common defects occurring in woven fabric. We used a statistical approach based on the analysis of periodicity of texture images in horizontal and vertical directions. These periodicities correspond to the periodicity of second-order grey level statistical. Five significant features is extracted from the matrix: energy, correlation, homogeneity, cluster shade and cluster prominence. The presence of a defect over texture causes regular structure changes and consequently, statistical changes. Detection algorithm is based on the sliding window technique; the window is moved over the whole image area. We counted the test statistic for every window and the multivariate control charts are used as a tool for judging the existence of defects. The results show that the statistical approach is suitable for detection of directional defects or changes in regular structure in analysed simulated and real fabrics.

- Tento článek se zabýva procedurou rozpoznávání běžných defektů vyskytujících se ve tkaninách. Byl použit statistický přístup založený na analýze periodicity texturních obrazu v horizontálním a vertikálním směru. Tyto periodicity korespondují s periodicitou statistických charakteristik druhého řádu získaných z matice plošných šedotónových závislostí. Byla získaná sada pěti významných charakteristik: energie, korelace, homogenita, odhad třetího a čtvrtého momentu rozdělení součtů úrovní šedi. Přítomnost defektu v textuře způsobuje změnu pravidelné struktury a následkem toho změnu statistických charakteristik. Algoritmus detekce je založen na technice posuvného okna, okno se posouvá po celé ploše obrazu. Pro každé okno je vypočtena testová statistika a nástrojem pro posouzení existence defektu jsou vícerozměrné regulační diagramy. Výsledky ukazují, že statistický přístup je vhodný pro detekci směrových defektů nebo změnu pravidelné struktury v obrazech simulovaných a reálných textilií. (cs)
