Description
  • Silanization of substrates with Si-OH groups on the surface is one of the current processes in engineering of special materials. Such modification allows e.g. immobilisation of enzymes on the different surfaces is. In this work esterase enzyme and antibiotics were succesfully immobilised through silanization reactions on three types of nanofibers with Si-OH groups. The immobilisation of enzymes was confirmed by specific colour reaction. The immobilisation of antibiotics was proved by their bactericidal effect on selected bacterial strains. The silanization reactions were performed in different solvents. The best results were obtained when silanization proceeded in water with a rinse in acetic acid.
