  • Currently for strong and no-divided plastics joining we can use two basic technologies, either welding or gluing. Every joining technology has pro and cons, each technology is suitable for different application. This article deals with ultrasonic welding of plastics, which is very famous especially in automotive or aerospace industries. The topic of this article is relationship between welding pressure and weld strength. Ultrasonic welder – model 220 20 kHz Plastics assembly System by Dukane comp. – was used for joining two plastics parts from polyamide 6. The task of this article is to find out some welding pressure, which create plastics join with maximal strength in tensile.
