Description
| - More than 20 years ago, production of parts made of liquid polymer was presented, being referred to as Stereolitography. Typical for the method was, and still is, the high pace with which A1 quality products could be made at a low cost. At present, a plethora of methods is available to those wishing to make a product within both the shortest possible time limit and lowest possible cost. All these methods tend to be referred to as Rapid prototyping, and come under the category of unorthodox technologies. Despite the abundance of the said methods, they typically are not used to a degree equalling the use of conventional technologies. In the present article, introduced and highlighted are some RP technologies, namely those that were possible to test at the Department of Production Systems in Liberec – as part of MSM 4674788501 research intent.
