Description
  • Root opening both in butt and fillet weld enables required penetration of filler metal that can be placed in gap without overlapping. On the other hand, wider opening than is required, causes “overwelding”, that means wasting of material, energy, labor and especially increasing stress and distortion. Meanwhile butt weld has just got some rules for good spacing of weld groove, fillet weld is still considered only to fill without spacing. DOE planned series of experiments were performed to study the effect of the root opening on the fillet weld optimal deposition efficiency for high-power spray arc transfer in PA position with 300 torch angle and optimal range of fillet root spacing for these special conditions was investigated.

  • Mezera v kořeni tupého i koutového svaru umožňuje dosažení potřebné hloubky závaru a umístění nadbytečného přídavného materiálu, který by jinak způsobil neefektivní převýšení svaru. Na druhou stranu větší mezera než je potřebná působí nadměrné svařování (overwelding), které je nejen nerentabilní ale způsobuje nárůst napětí a deformace. Zatímco u tupého svaru je mezera určovaným parametrem, u výplňového koutového svaru se s ní vůbec nepočítá a automaticky je považována za nepříznivý faktor. Byl proveden podle statistické metody navržený soubor experimentů s automatickým MAG svařováním vysoké hustoty výkonu v poloze PA, s 300 úhlem hořáku k pásnici pro nalezení optimální mezery z hlediska efektivity provedení koutového svaru dle ověřené metodiky.
