Description
  • This article deals with mixing of two air streams in a cylindrical mixing chamber of a subsonic ejector. Aim of work was intenzify mixing process and to reach higher efficiency of ejector. This paper studies effects of cross nozzle and multiple nozzle for mixing process intensity. The CTA method and 3D numerical cumputation in software Fluent had been use for mixing processes study. Measured and computed results were compared to one-dimension and empirical method. Ejector performance characteristics, its efficiency, velocity and intensity turbulence profiles in the mixing chamber, pressure distribution on the walls of the chamber, and the pattern of pressure and momentum coefficient along the mixing chamber axis were compared. The fastest mixing of flows occurs when multiple and cross nozzles are used. Highest efficiency is, however obtained when a circular propulsive nozzle is used.
