  • Použití nanotechnologií v automobilním průmyslu přináší ekonomické a ekologické úspory. Je to vyvoláno snížením váhy použitých konstrukčních prvkůa zvýšením životnosti. Aplikace nanotechnologií v automobilnímprůmyslu pokrývá oblast objemových materiálů a oblast modifikací povlaky. Obě tyto oblasti budou v centru zájmu automiobilního průmyslu v blízké budoucniosti. Použití nanotechnologií v automobilnímprůmyslu je velmi různé. Klíčové jsou: snížení znečištění, bezpečnost, lepší provedení a účinost motoru (úspora paliva, smnížení mechanických ztrát) a estetzika. Mnoho předpokládaných aplikací nanotechnologie jsou materiály pro autiomobily - silnější, lehčí, tvrdší (nanokmpozity), účinnější využití energie (palivové články)a nové nanokatalyzaátory (regulace znečištění). V automobilním průmyslu jsou aplikacxe nanotechnologí různorodé. V tomto článku byly ukázány jen některé, ale existuje velký počet dalších opříkladů. (cs)

This is evoked by reducing of weight of used construction elements and currently by increasing of their service life. Applications of nanotechnology in automotive industry cover in area of bulks materials and in area of coatings modifications. Both these areas will be in centre of interest of automotive industry in near future.Usage of nanotechnologies in automotive industry is very variously. Key drivers are: reduced air pollution, safety, better performance andengine efficiency (fuel saving, decrease mechanical losses) and aesthetics. Many of the proposed applications of nanotechnology are automotive related such as stronger, lighter, harder materials (nanocomposites), more efficient use of energy (fuel cells) and new nanoscale catalysts (pollution control).In the automotive industry, nanotechnology applications are manifold.
