Description	External and internal dumps of Bilina mine are a significant part of the North Bohemian landscape sustained by excavation. Here as fast as possible preparation and gradual integration into ecosystem of the area is of interest to the citizens of the Bilina area and the mining company. The paper briefly summarizes the results of tests and evaluation of samples taken from overburden cuts of Bilina mine and on restoration at Strimice, Radovesice, Pokrok and the internal dump at Bilina mine. Fromthe results, it follows the need for a different approach to each site based on consequntial analysis of survey works. Only in this way, it is possible to alter the optimal localities for direct restoration from those, requiring just the basic preparation of their top layers.
