Description
| - The present case study deals with the impact the psychomotor therapy has on the young school-aged children with ADHD. The aim of this study is to include the aspects of psychomotor therapy into the psychical education at primary schools and to verify its effect on the attention and relation to the physical activity of the children with ADHD. It is a quantitatively qualitative case study. The d2 Test of Attention, Numeral Square, observation and interview represent the applied methods of the data collection. We worked with 4 children diagnosed with ADHD at the age from 9 to 10. We tested the change of concentration and the extent of attention before and after the intervention programme of psychomotor therapy was applied. The intervention project was integrated into the regular PE lessons at primary schools and more specifically in two fourth years. We discovered that both concentration and the extent of attention were bettered. We arrived to the conclusion that within this sphere it is not a performance-oriented activity but an experience and sense of success which are of a great importance to the children with ADHD.
