Description	There were compared the biological responses of two varieties of flax to cadmium. After we created a suspension, cadmium was added at a concentration of 10, 50 and 100μM and the samples were taken at intervals of 3,12,24 and 48 hours. Phytochelatin changes were significantly enhanced with increasing concentration of Cd in the medium. The 50 μM proved to be the limit, a higher concentration of 100 μM is lethal to cells. (en) Byly porovnány biologické reakce dvou odrůd lnu na kadmium. Po vytvoření suspenze bylo přidáno kadmium v koncentraci 10, 50 a 100µM a byly odebírány vzorky v časových intervalech 3,12,24 a 48 hodin. Změny v hladině fytovhelatinů průkazně rostly v závislosti na rostoucí koncentraci kadmia. Koncentrace 50 µM se ukázala jako mezní, vyšší koncentrace 100 µM je pro buňky letální. (cs)
