Description
  • Determination of dynamic properties is more and more necessary nowadays with increasing demand on more accurate design with lover safety factors. Additionally, determination of local properties and also anisotropy is also more requested recently. Thus appropriate methods shall be developed and applied in order to cover these needs. In the current paper determination of local dynamic properties is carried out with the use of micro-tensile tests. The experimental component is titanium blade where three different sampling locations are considered and for each location three sampling directions investigated. The results obtained here demonstrate possibilities of materials properties determination with the use of minimum experimental material with possibility to provide also information on material strain rate sensitivity.
