Description
(cs)
  • Severe plastic deformation processes are receiving increasing attention as methods to develop ultrafine grained microstructures in the nanoscale. One of such process, equal channel angular pressing (ECAP), offers the ability to manufacture of bulk products. Finite Element Method base on continuum formulation have been used to confirm correctness of conclusions from practical experiments as well as to provide information on the specific effect of the die geometry, material properties and fiction on metal flow during ECAP. The most of this work is focused on the 2D ECAP problem.
