Description
  • High-solid epoxy paints used for protection of steel construction contain 15-25% wt. of compounds with boiling temperature in range 200 – 475 °C. In atmospheric exposure coatings may cracked and flaked which is caused by slowly evaporation of these compounds. The laboratory testing method had been elaborated to prove high solid paint inclination to damage by cracking. Samples of high-solid paint coatings had be exposed to thermal stress and the shrinkage will be evaluated together with contain of high boiled organic compounds. In vacuum test the high boiled organic compounds evaporate in relatively low temperature about 70°C. to avoid degradation of paint coatings.
