Description	A specific problem encountered in stomatology applications of titanium and its alloys is the use of fluoride-containing dental care agents in the prevention of dental ailments. The paper deals with non-uniform corrosion suffered by titanium based materials in fluoride environments. The experimental results indicated that, in most of the systems studied, the alloys are not subject to any non-uniform corrosion attack. Also, the data obtained were used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the specimens in media having different fluoride concentrations. It has been possible to differentiate, by evaluation of potential-current curves, two distinct modes of impact of the fluorides on the material tested: a mode where the material remains resistant, and another mode where passive film breakdown occurs causing the film to lose its protective properties. V práci se zabýváme nerovnoměrnou korozí titanových materiálů ve fluoridovém prostředí. Výsledky měřeních ukázaly, že slitiny, ve většině sledovaných systémů nepodléhají nerovnoměrnému koroznímu napadení . (cs)
