  • Microstructure and machinable properties of new machinable lead-free aluminium AA6023 alloy with the different level of Mg content were studied. In the structure of rods, particles containing Sn and Bi are organised in lines along the pressing direction. The presence of magnesium declines impact of on an improvement of chip quality during machining. With an increasing content of Mg, the fraction of Sn+Bi particles with a high content of magnesium is increased due to the decreasing fraction of low-fusing particles formed by pure tin or bismuth or their combination. The consequence is a significant deterioration of the chip quality and machinability rating.

  • Byly studovány mikrostruktura a vlastnosti nové obrobitelné bezolovnaté hliníkové slitiny AA6023 s různým obsahem Mg. Ve struktuře tažených a lisovaných tyčí se vyskytují také částice obsahující Sn a Bi, které jsou uspořádány v liniích ve směru deformace. Přítomnost hořčíku snižuje vliv těchto prvků na zlepšování kvality třísek během obrábění. S rostoucím obsahem Mg roste podíl částic Sn+Bi s vysokým obsahem hořčíku a klesá podíl nízkotavitelných částic tvořených pouze cínem nebo bismuthem, či jejich kombinací. Výsledkem je významné zhoršení kvality třísek a tím obrobitelnosti materiálu. (cs)
