Description	The work demonstrate the usefulness of the PETCO2 monitoring in evaluation of the efficacy of different procedures used during ACLS in patients suffering the cardiac arrest from different aetiologies. PETCO2 reflects tissue metabolism, tissue and lung perfusion. Because PETCO2 reflects alveolar ventilation as well, the condition of constant ventilation is crucial. It has been shown in the text that the PETCO2 monitoring is a useful indicator of the efficiency of provided ACLS particularly during the period from itB4s beginning till the restoration of spontaneous circulation. (en) Práce demonstruje užitečnost sledování hladin PETCO2 pro hodnocení činnosti různých postupů užitých během neodkladné resuscitace u pacientů se zástavou oběhu způsobenou různými příčinami. PETCO2 reflektuje tkáňový metablismus, perfůzi tkání a plic. Vzhledem k tomu, že hladina PETCO2 reaguje na alveolární ventilaci, zajištění konstantní ventilace je klíčové. V textu je ukázáno, že monitorace PETCO2 je užitečný indikátor účinnosti poskytované neodkladné resuscitace zejména v časovém intervalu od zahájení do obnovení spontánního oběhu. (cs)
