  • This work was indeed on the studies of gliding arc plasma discharge with respect to its use in decomposition of volatile organic compounds and on the solid phase microextraction analysis of the discharge products. The simple one stage gliding arc reactorwas used for these experiments. The applied voltage generating the discharge was varied in the range of 3.5 - 4 kV, the dry air and its mixtures with nitrogen, oxygen and argon were used as carrier gas, with flow rate of 1000 - 1600 ml/min. The toluene was used as a model VOC and its maximal decomposition of 73 % was achieved at the oxygen content in carrier gas of 60 %. For measurements with air as a carrier gas, the maximum removal efficiency was 68 %. The exhaust gas was sampled during these experi ments by solid phase extraction technique (sorption tubes) and analyzed by gas chromatography linked to the mass spectrometry.   • Práce se zaměřuje na studium klouzavého obloukového výboje s ohledem na jeho využití v rozkladu těkavých organických látek a na využítí techniky solid phase microextraction v analýze jeho produktů. K experimentům byl použit jednoduchý jednostupňový reaktor s kouzavým elektrickým obloukem. Suchý vzduch a jeho směsi s dusíkem, kuslíkem a argonem při průtocích 1000 - 1600 ml/min byly použity jako nosné plyny, pro generaci výboje sloužilo napětí 3,5 - 4 kV. Jako modelová VOC látka byl použit toluen. Maximállního rozkalu 73 % bylo dosaženo v atmosféře obsahující 60 % kyslíku, ve vzduchu byly dosažena účinnost 68 %. Produkty výboje byly odebírány pomocí extrakce tuhou fází (sorpčními trubičkami) a následně analyzovány metodou GC-MS. Druhá část práce se zaměřila na užití metody solid phase microextraction pro odběr vzorků. Bylo testováno několik různých typů SPME vláken, přičemž vlastní analýzy opět proběhly pomocí GC-MS.
