  • Tento článek prezentuje algoritmus pro zobrazování 3D scén pomocí FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). Výsledný obraz je vypočten FPGA chipem, spojeným s DSP (Digital Signal Processor) na experimentální desce. Grafickými daty je 3D mračno bodů - množinaorientovaných kruhových částic. Tento způsob reprezentace scény se ukazuje výhodnější pro různé účely než nečastěji používaná reprezentace sítí trojúhelníků. V článku je popsána aktuální experimentální implementace, která slouží k ověření daného koncept tu a jejíž výsledky jsou slibné pro další vývoj.<br> (cs)
  • This paper presents an algorithm for image rendering using FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays). The image is rendered by an FPGA chip coupled with a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) on an experimental board. The graphical data is 3D point-clouds - sets of particles that are from the geometrical point of view oriented ellipses in 3D space. Such scene representation seems to be more suitable for potentially many purposes than the most commonly used triangle meshes. The actual experimental implementation wwhich verifies the concept and shows promising results is described.
