  • Life medical objects belong to the specimens which is difficult to image in a conventional scanning electron microscope (SEM) because of their frequent non-conductive surface. The low voltage scanning electron microscope (LV SEM) due to low energy of theprimary electron beam allows the direct observation of these specimens. The aim of this contribution is to give information about possibilities of tooth surface imaging in SEM and LV SEM.

  • Práce se zabývá zkoumáním zubního povrchu v rastrovacím elektronovém mikroskopu. Všímá si především různých detekčních modů, jejich specifik a výhod. Dotýká se také možnosti pozorování zubních vzorků v jejich přirozeném stavu, tzn. bez jejich pokrytí vodivou vrstvou, a to především při nízkém urychlovacím napětím, které snižuje nepříznivé vlivy nabíjecích artefaktů na kvalitu obrazu.
