Description
  • The powder liquid method was used for protective aluminides difusion coatings formation on several nickel-based substrates (Ni, Ni20Cr and INCONEL 713LC). The suspension composed from Al powder and organic binder solution was prepared. Deposition of the coating onto the substrates surface was done by hand spraying. Two-stage heat treatment under the argon flow atmosphere was designed. First stage (200oC) was used to organic binder decomposition. In the second stage (1000oC) elements from the coating interact with the substrate. Intermetallic layer and an interaction zones between the layer and substrate starts to form. Elements interaction during annealing at 1000oC up to 10hrs was studied. For this study the scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive microanalysis, microhardness measurement and image analysis methods were used.
